China’s growing interest in water sports has been reflected with the state’s increasing support to the industry. Hare are partial hot water sports news in China presented to you by the organizing committee of AWRSE expo.
Ø China Water Sports Administration Center’s latest announcement shows that in 2020, a total of 103 water sports events will be held in China, ranging from surfing, Jet surfing, rafting, SUPing, to diving, fin swimming, water skiing, and motorboating.
Ø By this April 10th, the Huanlehai Yacht Wharf project in Tanfang City, Shandong Province has begun to take shape. With an estimated 890 million yuan investment and 335 berths, this project broke ground in 2016, and is expected to be ready for operation by the end of 2020.
Ø This April 9th, Kaizhou District of Chongqing City unveiled its plan to build Hanfeng Lake into a water sports tourism paradise in 2020, by upgrading its dragon boat events, holding water sports festivals, building water ports training teams and centers, and etc.
Ø This April 8th, Jiaozuo City of Henan Province announced that a water sports center and a fishing center would be added to the Dasha River Sports Park in 2020, as part of the city’s plan to turn Dasha River into an important venue for high-end water sports events.
Ø This April 7th, Hainan province released the National Sports Tourism Pilot Province Development Plan (2020-2025), putting beach sports and water sports high on the agenda. Leveraging Hainan’s natural and industry resources as a tourist island, the Plan underlines sports equipment manufacturing, sports resorts, and sports competitions.
Ø The 2020 Asia Water Recreational Sports Expo (AWRSE) has recently changed its date to this August 4th-6th.
